The Mira Costa Girls’ Soccer program boasts some of the most talented players in the South Bay. Led by Head Coach Amanda Cross and her coaching staff, the program achieves consistent winning records and tops the Bay League standings each year. Alongside a tradition of soccer excellence, the program offers plenty of fun team-bonding activities and youth soccer mentorship opportunities.
Girls’ Soccer is made up of three teams: Varsity, Junior Varsity and Frosh/Soph. A summer program is offered to incoming freshmen so they can become acquainted with high school soccer and the coaching staff. This is a winter sport, with the regular season running from mid-November through mid-February and CIF playoffs from mid-February through March.
Please check out our revamped website here for more information and a new section highlighting next-level Mustangs.

Donations go directly to the program — coaching, equipment and season costs.

Girls Soccer is a winter sport and a cut sport.
Tryouts — August 20, 21 and 24, 2026. All current and incoming girls soccer players; pre-registration required. Players need proper soccer attire with shin guards and a soccer ball.
It is highly recommended that incoming freshmen sign up for the Summer Soccer camp through MBX, where players are assessed. JV and Varsity teams are evaluated in the fall prior to the start of training, with the roster established in early September. Players should have at least AYSO experience, and many are club players.
