Girls Wrestling Update!

Girl’s Wrestling:

The girls team wrestled in a 24-man bracket CIF Qualifier at El Toro High School.  Only the top 8 qualify to compete at CIF, and the following 5 girls qualified:

Sasha Medvidovic (Sr) – 150 lbs – 1st Place
Allysa Nocum (Jr) – 121 lbs – 2nd Place
Cali Sheldon (So) – 106 lbs – 3rd Place

Orquidea Ordonez (So) – 160 lbs – 3rd Place
Viviana Ramirez (Jr) – 189 lbs – 3rd Place

These girls then competed at the Southern Section CIF, where all of the divisions compete together. While we are still a young team, the girls took 8th Place out of approximately 180 participating schools.

The following three Girl’s Qualified to compete at the State level:

Sasha Medvidovic (Sr) – 150 lbs – CIF Champion (schools first ever!)
Allysa Nocum (Jr) – 121 lbs – 4th Place
Viviana Ramirez (Jr) – 189 lbs – 6th Place
