Boys Water Polo captures 18U Title at Hawaiian Invitational and excels in awards!

Mira Costa’s Boys 18U Water Polo team captured the title of the 49th Annual Hawaiian Invitational water polo tournament held at venues near Waikiki on August 1-6th. Team Goalie, Garrett Allen, was named tournament MVP.  The trophy was a wooden bowl and each boy received a wooden turtle. Jake Carter (bottom left) said “I have a lot of medals and trophies but this is my first turtle … cool!”

Congratulations to Hudson Carter, Ethan Chalk, Garrett Allen and AJ Slater for receiving the Outstanding Achiever Academic All-American Award from USA Water Polo for 2016-17.  To receive this award, they must achieve a minimum GPA of 4.0.

Congratulations to Garrett Allen and Jake Carter for receiving All-American Honors from USA Water Polo for their performance at this summer’s Junior Olympics.’
