A solid few days of racing, jumping and throwing at Mt SAC Relays!
Distance – Xavier Court broke the Costa School record for the 1600m and Mile
Xavier Court (Snr) raced in the Mt SAC Relay ‘Brooks’ Invitational Mile on Friday night, finishing with a second in the race (Mile – 1609m) with a time of 4:12.43. And an official recorded 1600m time of 4:10.94 with two finishing cameras running.
This broke the previous 1600m record set last year by Caleb Llorin of 4:12.35 (vs Xavier’s time of 4:10.94). At this part of the season Xavier is now ranked 9th in the country for the 1600m, and 5th in the Mile.
Xavier will now shift to solely focus on the 3200m in the lead up to the State Championships.
Pole Vault
Junior Brigette Grau (Jnr) cleared 12’ at the meet Saturday equaling her second best vault of the season and finishing in 7th place, and Andrew Sandberg (Jnr) cleared 14’ and finished in 5th place .
Hurdles
(12) Cody Kallenbach Invitational 110 Hurdles 15.32 finishing in the top 10.
Triple Jump
(12) Samantha Ealy Invitational Triple Jump 35’7.25″
400M Relay
Girls 4×400 Relay Seeded Race 4:05.01 (Season PR for the team) 5th Place
