Turning the tables on the Sea Kings, who last year defeated the Mustangs, Mira Costa defeated Corona Del Mar 12-6.   In singles, Audrey Vo (MC) won three sets 6-3, 6-0 and 6-2; and Haily Huynh (MC) won three sets 6-3, 6-2, and 6-1.  In doubles, Kacey Feng/Sydney Vo won three sets 6-2, 6-0, and 6-1; Ella Davis/Sydney Miller (MC) won one set 6-4; and Kiki Daviduk/Hannah Bergin won one set 7-6(4).  The Mustangs are now 8-0 on the season.

In another unexpected easy win for the Mustangs, Mira Costa defeated Dana Hills, the team it defeated last year to win the CIF Division 1 final, 15-3.   In singles, Audrey Vo (MC), who was just named The Daily Breeze Athlete of the week, won three sets at love, 6-0, 6-0 and 6-0; Haily Huynh (MC) won three sets 6-0, 6-1, and 6-0; and Ella Lokier (MC) won one set 6-1.  In doubles, Kacey Feng/Sydney Vo won three sets 6-0, 6-1, and 6-0; Ella Davis/Sydney Miller (MC) won one set 6-2; Ella Davis/Peyton Douglas (MC) won two sets 6-2 and 6-4; and Kiki Daviduk/Hannah Bergin won two sets 6-3 and 6-0.  The Mustangs next play tomorrow at home against Corona del Mar, a traditional Orange County power who defeated the Mustangs last year 15-3.

In a surprisingly easy win for the Mustangs, Mira Costa defeated Harvard-Westlake 13-5.   While the Wolverines pushed the Mustangs in singles, winning four sets, Mira Costa was dominant in doubles, with five different pairings winning 8 out of 9 sets.  In singles, Audrey Vo (MC) won two sets 6-3 and 6-0; Haily Huynh (MC) won two sets 6-2 and 6-0; and Ella Lokier (MC) won one set 6-3.  In doubles, Olga Nagy/Amanda Scott (MC) won two sets 6-2 and 6-0; Kacey Feng/Sydney Vo won three sets 6-3, 6-2, and 6-1; and Ella Davis/Sydney Miller (MC) won one set 6-2; Ella Davis/Kiki Daviduk won one set 6-3; and Kiki Daviduk/Hannah Bergin won one set 6-3 .  The Mustangs next play tomorrow at home against Dana Hills, the team it defeated last year to win the CIF title.
