The Mustangs bounced back after Monday’s unexpected loss to defeat the Westlake Warriors 14-4.  In singles, Kelly Giese (MC) won two sets 6-1 and 6-0; Tanner Chen (MC) won one set 6-2; Trent Porter (MC) won one set 6-3; Mitchell Watson (MC) won one set 6-0; and Laszlo Solnicki (MC) won one set 6-2.  In doubles, Matthew Poh/Ethan Han (MC) won two sets 6-3 and 6-1; Kyle Sillman/Noah Gonalons (MC) won three sets 6-4, 6-2, and 6-0; and Nick Darrow/Kyle Chen (MC) won three sets 6-1, 6-0, and 6-1.

In a very close match at home, Mira Costa’s winning streak came to an abrupt end, as the Mustangs lost to the Northwood Timberwolves 8-10.  In singles, Matthew Poh won two sets 6-1 and 6-2; and Kyle Sillman (MC) won one set 6-3.  In doubles, Max Wuelfing/Ethan Han (MC) won three sets 6-0, 6-0, and 6-1; and Kelly Giese/Tanner Chen (MC) won two sets 6-4 and 6-1.

After a rain-out yesterday at Harvard-Westlake, the Mustangs came back to defeat the Vikings 13-5 by sweeping all nine doubles sets.  In singles, Kyle Sillman (MC) won three sets at love 6-0, 6-0, and 6-0; and Vikram Arora (MC) won one set 7-5.  In doubles, Kelly Giese/Ethan Han (MC) won three sets 6-1, 6-2, and 6-0; Noah Gonalons/Trent Porter (MC) won three sets 6-1, 6-2, and 6-1; and Kyle Chen/Tanner Chen (MC) won three sets 6-0, 6-3, and 6-0.
