Surf Team gives special thank you to Coach Geller and Coach Mike!

The Mira Costa Surf team along with all the other sports have had to go into a very unexpected and abrupt break.  The team even had to endure many weeks of our local beaches and ocean being closed.  Thankfully the ocean has re-opened and many of the athletes are able to enjoy a morning surf.

We wanted to say a special thank you to Coach Geller and Coach Mike.  Unfortunately this is the last year Coach Mike is going to be with our program and we truly wished for different ending.  The athletes will miss his booming voice and amazing spirit, we wish him well in his future endeavors!

We are hopeful to be able to compete in NSSA Nationals at some point this summer when it is deemed safe to resume competition.  The team is also hopeful we will be able to start the new season competing in our local league if allowed.

To wrap up this year, the team is having a special Senior ceremony as well as a team banquet via Zoom.
