Boys Soccer has success playing 3 games in a week!

The Boys’ Soccer team just finished a very busy week with 3 games and good results.

On Tuesday the team travelled to St. John Bosco and won 5-1. Goal scorers were Senior Captain Robert Cook with 2, Seniors Alex deSouza and Michael Antich with 1 each, and Junior Colton Flake with 1.

Thursday they played Torrance at home and won 3-2 with goals from Juniors Pedro Rodriguez and Josh Gaudiano, along with the game winner from Senior William Zhou.

Friday night they played at Santa Monica High School and tied 1-1 in a very intense match between 2 strong teams. The equalizer came from Junior Max Haber with 20 minutes remaining in the game.

The Varsity team is led by Senior Captains Cook, Keyan Torabi and Goalkeeper Andrew Fasano. These 3 young men are truly the spine of the team with Keyan at center midfield and Robert at center forward. The defensive “back four” was the glue that kept the team solid all week. This group was led by Seniors Nick Keenan and Brad Hofmeister who played every minute. Senior midfielder Cooper Arak has become a stand out with his energy and versatility.

The team now needs to recuperate and get ready to kick off the South Torrance Holiday Tournament next Thursday.
