ANOTHER STRONG SEASON UNDERWAY FOR COSTA RUGBY

A huge congratulations to the Boys’ JV team for their Saturday win against Valley Christian HS. Their team work and massive group effort led to a 33-0 victory over the Defenders. And it was great seeing so many parents there to cheer them on!

On Friday, the Boy’s Varsity team had a tough loss at home against the Sacramento Jesuit team. Costa fought hard, though, and held the lead until halftime, after which Jesuit came back, making the final score 25-15. Jesuit is ranked among the best high school teams in the country; Costa Varsity boys held their own, and suffered a hard but respectable loss. This is their only loss this season, with a current record of 3-1 and 6 more games left in the season. Come out and cheer at one (or all) of their home games on January 25, February 1 & 15 and March 1, 2025.

With respect to Girls’ Rugby, our A side team has showcased determination and tenacity this season, with a hard-fought 7-6 record and delivering some memorable performances on the pitch. Likewise, our B side team has demonstrated grit and perseverance, earning a balanced 5-5 record and setting the stage for a strong future in the program. Girls’ Rugby only has 2 regular tournaments left in their season, with a final 3rd championship tournament scheduled for February 8th in San Diego.
