WELCOME ALL NEW AND RETURNING PLAYERS

Rugby welcomes all those who are new and returning for the 2024-2025 school year! Both the girls’ and boys’ Rugby teams finished strong and had an amazing 2023-24 winter season last year, with both teams placing 2nd in their respective SCIRF divisions. We are looking forward to an even better season this year!

Rugby is a winter, no-cut sport which begins immediately following football season.  The boys’ and girls’ Rugby teams often share practice times and team events, but they play in separate games (the girls’ team plays against area high school girl teams in Rugby 7’s and the boys’ team plays against area high school boy teams in Rugby 15’s). No prior experience is necessary, but it is helpful. Pre-season training begins with the start of the school year before the official winter season starts, and will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays starting around 3:30 pm (exact time and location TBD). If you are planning to play Rugby and are not playing a Fall Sport, you must register for 7th Period Rugby PE as a class. If interested or have any questions about the Rugby program, please contact Coach Duke Dulgarian at or 310-962-1385.
