Boys Lacrosse Tryouts are coming up:

December 2-6 from 6:00-8:00pm at Waller Stadium

December 9-13 from 6:00-8:00pm at Waller Stadium

No previous lacrosse experience required
Bring lacrosse gear and running shoes
If you need to borrow lacrosse equipment please email Coach Karsh ahead of the tryout dates.
Players interested in playing lacrosse but are enrolled in a fall sport should email Coach Karsh to check-in and, if possible, attend tryouts

Tryout Info

Boys Lacrosse is a Spring Sport.
Boys Lacrosse is a cut sport. There is a Varsity and JV team and potentially a JV (b) team. No experience is required, but prior experience is a plus.
Lacrosse is a Spring sport, but practices year round. Tryouts are more of an evaluation process and factors the summer and fall programs before players are then separated into a JV and Varsity roster. Players are expected to be enrolled in lacrosse as soon as possible if they are not playing on another Mira Costa team prior to the spring.
The team practices year round. Off season practices are not daily and consist of both a strength and conditioning aspect as well as an on field component, starting with the summer program. Off season practices will start with the school year as Lacrosse PE. Full team practice begins roughly Feb. 1 and the season runs through late May.
Students must enroll in Fall/Winter Lacrosse PE if they are not enrolled in another sport. Off season conditioning will combine strength and conditioning work as well as basic skill building and team concepts. Summer is required for incoming freshmen and new players. The summer Lacrosse program runs from June 18 through July 25 from 4:30 to 6:30 at Mira Costa.
