Girls Golf hits team record against West Torrance!

The Girls Golf Team would like to say THANK YOU for coming out to their booth and the Beer Garden at the Manhattan Beach Fair last week.  Everyone’s smiles and encouraging words to the team were greatly appreciated.  The teams will have our final “Fun”Raiser of the year with the Boys golf team this Sunday, October 20, 2019 at The Lakes of El Segundo.  Please stop by as they will have a special silent auction and a day full of golfing and games.  If anyone is interested in playing in the event, the cost is $50.00 for kids and $100 for adults  Please click here to purchase tickets to play.

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Golf Team in a phenomenal match against West Torrance this past Thursday at the Chester Washington Golf Course.  The team shot a collective score of 10 over par, a team record!  A notable golf accomplishment goes to (Jr.) Sarah Matsuoka who got her first eagle on the 9th hole!  All of the scores that counted in the match were under 40.  Shani Waite (Captain/Sr.) shot a 37, Juliae Shoda (Jr.) shot a  37, Gabi Kiger (Captain/Sr.) shot a 38, Hannah Gideon (So.) shot a 39, Sarah Matsouka (Jr.) shot a 39, and Kate Stargardter (Jr.) shot a 39.  Everyone wishes the girls luck next week as they compete to clinch the seventh straight Bay League title in their final matches against Peninsula High School.  The Junior Varsity Girls Golf team is also on a good streak!  They currently have 9 wins and one loss.  Everyone also wishes them luck as they play the Peninsula High School JV teams next week. Their JV Championship will be on Monday, October 21, 2019.
