During halftime, Charlie O’Connor was presented with the 6th Annual Jason Sadowsksi scholarship. Players were asked to submit an essay explaining what they learned from being a part of the Mira Costa Football team. The scholarship is awarded to an outstanding Mira Costa Senior who embodies what it means to be a Mustang! Congratulations to Charlie! (right photo)

Important Dates for Football Boosters, Parents and Players:

• Feb. 28 at 7p – Booster Meeting: All hands-on deck as we strategize the 2024 season and select key leadership positions for our Board. All are invited. Location: Room 1 Costa Gym
• May 1 at 6p – Spring Parent Meeting: All existing football player families are invited. We’ll discuss spring training schedule and expectations as well as begin soliciting sponsors and advertisers for the 2024 season. Learn more about 7v7 Passing League and schedule of tournaments. Location: Room 105
• June 6 at 6p – All Football Parent Meeting: Incoming freshman player parents and existing player parents are invited to attend this all-encompassing, very informative and very important meeting for the 2024 Mustangs Season. Location: TBD
