Our Spring Musical, Bright Star, has begun rehearsals and will be opening Friday April 25th!

We are excited to announce that our show will feature the original Broadway set of Bright Star!  This just adds to the already high performance value of Mira Costa Drama Tech and we’re excited to share this show with you!

The cast of Bright Star will be performing a sneak peek of the show on Sunday March 23rd at 5pm outside the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center at Springfest (a free carnival!)

Bright Star is the heartfelt musical by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell. Set in the American South spanning the 1920s to 40s and inspired by true life events, Bright Star follows literary editor Alice Murphy as she reflects on her past and uncovers a powerful, life-altering secret. The story weaves themes of love, redemption, and resilience into an uplifting tale of hope and second chances.
