Costa XC athletes continue to hit the pavement developing their speed and strength!
The Costa XC team’s dedicated efforts have been bringing in amazing results! Last weekend, Mira Costa competed in the tough Sweepstakes Race at the Woodbridge Cross Country Classic against some of the best teams in the country. The Mira Costa boys finished 10th with Cormac Carew and Thomas Velvin leading the team. The girls team lead by Dalia Frias finished 13th. They followed up this amazing result with more success this weekend at the Masters University Meet. The Boys Varsity won by one point over highly regarded West Ranch as Velvin, Carew, Alex Fiorito, Seamus O’Meara and Caleb Hong ran for the victory. The Girls Varsity finished in a strong second place position on the strength of Frias, Tia Pappas and Kayla Kershaw. The Girls Frosh/Soph also picked up a victory as Annie Iantuono, Nicole Murch, and Reece Riley lead the team. Congratulations Mustangs!
