The future of Costa Basketball is bright.

The Mustangs have wrapped up an exceptional regular season, bringing home Bay League Championships at all levels—Varsity, JV, and Freshman. A clean sweep! Our JV2 squad also had a strong season.
Varsity finished the regular season 28-3, clinching the Bay League title (7-1) and are riding a six-game winning streak as they power through D1 CIF playoffs. The team also earned a spot in the CIF State Championship Tournament, kicking off on March 4.
JV, led by Coach Ray Barnes, battled to a 17-1 record, winning their fifth straight Bay League title. Coach Ali’s JV2 squad wrapped up a strong season with a 13-4 winter record (26-7 overall), and the Freshman team, led by Coach Tony Altamura, finished 25-3, also claiming the Bay League title (5-1).
On January 28th, we honored our eight graduating seniors who’ve spent the last four years shaping the program with their hard work and dedication: #0 Jack Mondello, #2 Christian Kranz, #3 Jacob De Armas, #4 Bryson Bryker, #10 Mac Bedner, #11 Max Jacobs, #12 Eneasi Piuleini, and #14 Luke Hammerschmidt. We are incredibly proud of each of them and the legacy they leave behind.
Thank you, Costa community, for your energy and support from the stands. The journey isn’t over – we hope to see you this Saturday, February 22 at 7pm at home when we battle Santa Barbara in the semi finals. See you there! 🏀💛💚
